How to create a simple tab bar using a tab bar controller in swift 5 and Xcode 12. In this beginner friendly tutorial I provide an example of how you can customise the colours and style of a tab bar. As well as change the default selected tab when the app is run.

We also have a look at how to use tab bar badges and this tutorial provides an example of how you could use this to notify the user if there is something on a specific tab you would like the user to click on.

Tab bars are common in iOS app development and are a great and easy solution to provide navigation in iOS apps.
