There are a lot of technologies in software development and new technologies are emerging in a fast rate.

At the beginning of career, new programmers kind of feel hesitated with the technologies to start with. In this video I talked about this problem and explained how Java is still a great option to start someone's programming career.

Java is a cross-platform object-oriented programming language that was released by Sun Microsystems in the year 1995.

My 3 points are:
(1) Java is easy to learn which means:
it has large community and great resources
Powerful IDE
Syntax are similar to English language.

(2) Java is Versatile
You can learn basic programming, including data structures and clearly
You can learn OOP, Threading, etc if you want

(3) Java is Everywhere and Has a Stable Career Opportunity
Java is very mature language, You can build Server Application, desktop application, mobile app, and embedded software.

That's it. In the full career timeline, software engineers has to work with a variety of technologies, but kicking start with java gives a better exposure to the available areas and platform.
