Chao Gu / LINE
■ Session Overview
LINE iOS has been using an Objective-C & C networking stack of SPDY protocol for many years. This has become a technical debt since SPDY was deprecated and absorbed into HTTP2, also, the whole LINE iOS project needs to migrate to Swift. However, LINE iOS has a gigantic codebase now, the outdated networking stack is already used by a lot of teams. It is not possible to finish the migration in 1 or 2 release cycles. This puts a big challenge to the migration. This session is about experiences and things learned from upgrading and migrating the whole networking stack in a giant iOS project like LINE iOS.
